Wombing=Safe to be Wild

Wombing: Creating safety in your body and in your life

Women Need to Feel Safe to Be Wild

I use “womb” as a verb: to create and cultivate safety and healing in your, womb, your  body & in your life; to emower women to nurture, protect themselves and each other.  I use the word womb because the womb is the safe harbor in which we were created, nourished & grew. Within the womb, we were held & nurtured by our mother’s body.   Within our own bodies, the womb is the home of our feelings & our wild innate creative forces.  Within our womb we can create a baby without thinking, it is our nature to create, nurture & grow.  Women need to womb to be wild.  In order for us to let go and express ourselves with wild abandon we have to first feel safe.

We have not felt safe or protected. Women receive conflicting messages that their sexuality, their body is shameful & are pressured to be sexual.  Women censor & adapt their speech, their dress and their actions to survive & be loved.   Every day in our communities and around the world women are sexually harrassed, incested, raped, beaten, enslaved & mutilated.   Our bodies , our wombs become wounded & cry out with painful cycles, depression, cysts, fibroids, menopause, prolapses, cancer & more.  When a pregnant woman feels unsafe to be herself, the fetus feels it.  The womb contracts when we are stressed, anxious or afraid and sends the message to the fetus that there is not enough room for them.  Even in the womb we have not experienced the full safety that is our birthright.  Without safety wildness becomes distorted; wildly out of control, frightening, disconnected, ungrounded.

The wild I’m talking about is the wildness you see in a lush plant that’s been nurtured & protected, that sinks down deep roots, and has room, feels safe to grow tall and take up room. A garden grows because it is nurtured, rooted, & protected. In the same way we need to feel nurtured, protected, rooted, and safe. We need to feel safe to unfold to our true potential and be wild.  Just imagine how it would have felt, if your mother had felt safe & free to fully be & express herself, within her womb.  Imagine how you would feel in your body if you could let go of the pain, shame & fear.   Imagine what would be possible for you now if you felt safe, accepted, loved & free to be & express yourself.   That would be heaven on earth.

Here at Be Wild Woman, it all starts with loving and nurturing yourself.  Be Wild Woman provides the tools & support for you to reclaim your body, your feelings, your truth & your wild joy.   Though you can’t change what happened in the past, you can change what is true in your body today.  Today you can create the safety your body needs be wild, free & in love with your life.  Learning how to reclaim my body helped me move from feeling anxious, depressed, ashamed & uncomfortable with my body to feeling innocent, self confident, empowered, sexy & free to be & express myself.   I know it can help you too!”
