Rally and Dance in Your Strapless Gown, Celebrate Women for V-DAY March 21-23
Calling wild women to:
1) Put on your strapless gown and do a DISTRACTION dance to celebrate women.
2) Pick up a Love Your Body Sign for our Be Wild Woman Body-Loving March
3) Come see the Vagina Monologues and The Good Body at 4th U, March 21-23
I’m excited to partner once again, with The 4th Universalist Society to stand for women.
This year, their 6th year producing Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues, they are going all out with a whole new show: The Good Body. Two powerful women’s shows in one weekend under one roof…Whoo-hoo!
These moving stories raise awareness around women’s issues such as body image, sexuality and violence against women. Just watching is life changing experience. Be prepared to laugh, cry & be inspired to take action. I was blessed with the opportunity read Eve’s I Was There in the Room” her monologue of watching her granddaughter being born in the room. As I read it there in church I felt the awe and wonder of a woman giving birth.
I haven’t yet watched The Good Body & can’t wait.
Back for our second year, I invite you to join me for our Be Wild Woman Body Loving Rally, pre-show complete with “Love Your Body” signs. I invite you to join me in rallying the audience and let everyone know you love your body & want them to love theirs too! We also need your support in making new signs. We’ll be making some at the next Wild Woman Love Your Body Church Friday March 8th. Click here for more info.
I’m also participating in a wonderful Distraction movement piece, led by Melissa Riker to celebrate women’s bodies that is happening pre-show for all three shows. I would love to have you join me! Here is a link to sign up & a video of the original dance.

Here’s a bit more about V-Day & 4th U & a link to purchase tickets:
Over the last 15 years, V-Day, www.vday.org, the global movement dedicated to ending violence against women and girls, has moved into 140 countries and raised over $100 million, educating millions about the issue of violence against women and the efforts to end it, as well as crafting international educational, media and PSA campaigns, helping to revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations.
Over the past 5 years VDay 4thU has raised over $65,000 to support V-Day. Through our 4thU VDay campaigns, we’ve contributed to V-Day’s work in the Congo & Haiti and to several local beneficiaries. Our beneficiaries this year will be NY Restore, Safe Horizon & Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees.
Our organizer Deborah Roth, and our directors Erin Bigelow, Maria Alegre and Lynn Bourbeau
are excited to announce that this year we will be putting on two plays, “THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES” and Eve Ensler’s more recent fabulous and powerful play “THE GOOD BODY”:
“With The Good Body, Eve Ensler turns her unique eye to the rest of the female body. Whether undergoing botox injections or living beneath burqas, women of all cultures and backgrounds feel compelled to change the way they look in order to fit in. The Good Body merges cross-cultural explorations with Eve’s own personal journey coming to terms with her “less-than-flat, post-forties stomach.”
